Deep Mourning - Unadorned, dull black dress, no jewelry, and a hat with veil covering the face
Second Mourning –Lighter weight black fabrics or colors such as eggplant, mauve and dark grey. White collars or cuffs, subdued black or pearl jewelry and a hat without a veil or veil pulled back away from face
Half Mourning– Muted pastel fabrics with lace and some jewelry
Men
Dark coats, hats and ties, perhaps a black armband
