About the event
You are cordially invited to participate in an exclusive and unique opportunity, Galveston’s inaugural Mourning Tea, honoring the memories of the Victims who unexpectedly and tragically lost their lives, the Survivors who lost loved ones and all their worldly possessions and struggled to exist through near famine, death-threatening pestilence and homelessness, and the Heroic men and women who tirelessly persevered to search for poor souls buried in the storm debris. Resilient and strong, they rebuilt and protected Galveston Island from destruction by future storms.
