Spend the day with us on Sunday, April 7 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
12:00 pm
Picnic and House Tour – Enjoy light refreshments on the lawn, stroll the grounds, and take a tour of the mansion.

1:00 pm
Fan Flirting (Parlor) – Want that dashing man to meet you after the dance? Wondering if that lovely lady wants you to approach her? Learn how the subtle art of fan flirting can be used to send all sorts of messages, both encouraging and discouraging.

Whist Class (Upstairs) – This Victorian card game is the forerunner of Spades and Bridge. There are dozens of variations, but we’ll teach you how to play a basic hand.

Sea Shanty Singalong (Porte-cochère) – Who doesn’t love a sea shanty? Release your inner Pirate and join in the fun! Lyric sheets will be provided, so you don't have to pretend you know the words.
2:00 pm
Literary Mad Libs (Library) – A modern version of the Victorian game Consequences, with a literary twist. The classics have never been this silly, or this fun!

Airship Races (Sunroom) – Steer your airship to the finish line using only the power of the elements, or cheer on your favorite contestant! Didn’t bring an airship with you? No worries – one will be provided.

Tea Dueling (Porte-cochère) – All it takes is a cup of tea, a cookie, and nerves of steel. May the best Nom win!
3:00 pm
Parlor Games (Parlor) – Party like it’s 1899 as our Games Master leads you in a rousing round of The Minister’s Cat, Kim’s Game, or perhaps Magic Music, and learn about some of the whacky ways Victorians amused themselves at parties.

Poetry Slam (Library) – Come read your original Steampunk themed poem for a chance at glory and prizes, or if you’re not the performing type, come give a listen and help pick the winners.

Parasol Dueling (Porte-Cochère) – Like Rock, Paper, Scissors, but with parasols. Truly a genteel and somewhat silly way to settle a matter of honor.
4:00 pm
Learn Victorian Slang (Library) – Be a bricky and bring your chuckaboos to this nanty narking! You’ll be eating vinegar with a fork in no time!

Wind Up Toy Races (Sunroom) – Assemble your racer and then put it to the test! Note: Racer supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
