This weekend marked another milestone in our restoration journey, as we hosted our first ever Volunteer Work Days.
Over the course of two days, volunteers pitched in to help us ready the house and grounds for an upcoming event. It was so wonderful to make new friends and work alongside others who care about this incredible house. There was cleaning, gardening, trash hauling, and most of all, fun. The saying "many hands make light work" never proved more true, and the grounds have never looked better.
If you're interested in volunteering, you can fill out the volunteer form here to be notified when volunteer opportunities come up. Aside from work days, we have volunteers who help with administrative tasks, historical research, hunting down hardware, and acting as docents. Whatever your skillset, location, or time availability, you can be a part of bringing this grand house back to its former glory!
